Coloured drops fall from the ceiling of the lab one after another, and the funnel's spout can only ever point one way: left, into the green beaker, or right, into the blue one. You do not move the drops and you do not move the beakers — the only thing under your control is which way the spout is aimed at the instant a drop reaches the funnel's mouth.
Tap the left half of the screen to swing the spout left, the right half to swing it right; the arrow keys work the same way on a keyboard. A drop commits the moment it touches the funnel mouth, so the decision has to be made while it is still falling — flipping the spout afterwards changes nothing. A drop poured into its own colour adds points and builds a clean streak. A drop poured into the wrong beaker contaminates the batch and costs one of your four marks.
Read the colour of a drop the moment it appears at the top and set the spout straight away, then leave it alone — most spills come from second-guessing a spout that was already correct. Drops keep coming faster and closer together as the run goes on, so the gap for a late correction shrinks steadily. When two drops of the same colour queue up behind each other, that pair is free: hold the spout still and bank the streak bonus, because consecutive clean pours are worth far more than single ones.
