Reaction Time Test — Free Online Reflex Speed Test

How fast are your reflexes? This free online reaction time test measures how quickly you respond to a visual stimulus — your score is shown in milliseconds. The average human reaction time is 200–250 ms. Competitive gamers typically score 150–180 ms. Elite athletes can reach under 150 ms.

What is a good reaction time?

Under 150 ms is exceptional — elite athlete level. 150–200 ms is excellent. 200–250 ms is average for a healthy adult. 250–300 ms is below average. Over 300 ms means there is room to improve with practice. Note: reaction time naturally slows with age and improves with sleep and focus.

How to play

Wait for the screen to flash green, then tap or click as fast as possible. Beware of red flashes — they are decoys designed to make you jump the gun. A premature tap resets the round. Your score in milliseconds is displayed after each valid attempt. Try to beat your personal best across multiple rounds.
