This privacy policy describes how Dozen Games (dozen-games.com) handles information when you visit the site and play games.
You don't need an account to play, and we never ask for your name, email address or any other contact details.
To understand which games people enjoy and where they get stuck, we run our own analytics (Umami, self-hosted on our server — not a third-party analytics company). It uses no cookies. For each visit it records:
We use this only in aggregate, to improve the site. It is not shared with or sold to anyone. Our web server also keeps standard access logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security and troubleshooting; these are not shared either.
Some features remember things in your browser's local storage, on your device: the games you played and your best scores ("Continue playing"), your daily-challenge streak, the games you liked, the difficulty you picked, and prompts you dismissed. This stays in your browser — clearing this site's data in your browser settings removes it — except where noted: the score at the end of each game is part of the analytics described above, and if you turn on daily reminders, the day you last finished the challenge and your streak are sent to our server (see Notifications).
If your browser supports it, the site also installs a small service worker. It saves one "you're offline" page, so you see a clear message instead of an error when you lose your connection, and — only if you turn reminders on — it shows the daily reminder. It does not store games or anything about you.
Reminders are off unless you turn them on. If you tap "Remind me daily", your browser asks for permission; if you allow it, we send at most one notification a day, around 6 pm your time, and only on days you haven't done the daily challenge yet. If you stop playing, we send them less often, and after 30 days without a finished challenge we delete your subscription.
To do this our server stores: the push address your browser gives us (a long random URL at your browser maker's push service, plus the encryption keys for it), your time zone, the last day you finished the challenge, your streak, and the dates we created the subscription and last sent a reminder. It does not store your IP address or anything else about you. (Like every request, the request that turns reminders on passes through our server, which uses your IP address in memory only to limit abuse.)
The messages are delivered by your browser maker's push service — Google, Mozilla, Apple or Microsoft — which sees that a message is sent to your browser, but not who you are to us. Tapping a reminder is counted in our analytics.
To stop: tap "Daily reminder on · turn off" on the homepage, or block notifications for dozen-games.com in your browser settings. Turning it off deletes your subscription from our server.
When you play Neon Tic-Tac-Toe or Neon Fleet online, your browser connects to our game server so your moves can reach your opponent. You play under a random nickname; we never ask for your name and there is no chat. The server holds a match (moves, nicknames and a session code that lets you reconnect) in memory only while it is being played, and uses your IP address in memory only to limit abuse. It does not write IP addresses or moves to disk. Your win/loss record is kept in your own browser; like every game here, the page also sends anonymous play events, such as a finished match and its result, to our analytics.
Dozen Games does not show ads at the moment. Our pages do load Google's advertising script (Google AdSense), and Google may use cookies and similar technologies through it. That is handled by Google and subject to Google's Privacy Policy. If we start showing ads, we will update this page first.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings or by using the NAI opt-out tool.
Game pages may link to other games or pages on dozen-games.com. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any external sites you navigate to from links on this site.
Dozen Games is a general-audience site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
