Press and hold anywhere to reel the elevator cab upward; let go and it sinks back down the shaft. One floor is always flashing — that is where a rider is waiting. Line the cab up with the flashing floor to open the doors, board the rider, and earn a fat bonus on top of your ticking survival score.
Hold your finger (or Space on desktop) to raise the cab and release to lower it — the cab drops faster than it climbs, so plan your descents early. Each waiting rider has a patience bar above their floor. Deliver them before it empties or the run ends. Patience gets shorter the longer you survive, so late-game calls demand quick, precise docking.
Feather the controls: short taps nudge the cab up in small steps, which is the easiest way to hover onto a floor from below. Coming from above is riskier because of the faster fall speed — release in short bursts instead of one long drop. When the patience bar turns pink, commit to the floor immediately; a sloppy landing still beats a rider walking out.
